Zellers Set for IPC Debut in Norma LMP3

Twenty-one-year-old Hanna Zellers is set for her IMSA Prototype Challenge presented by Mazda debut this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, as part of Five Miles Out Racing’s lineup for the fourth round of the season.

Zellers will team up with open-wheel veteran Jay Howard in the team’s No. 87 Norma M30, as part of the team’s two-car entry that features Memo Gidley and team owner Charles Chi in the sister LMP3 contender.

While new to endurance racing, Zellers has enjoyed a diverse career including SCCA, Formula Atlantic and NASCAR K&N Series competition.

“I tested the Norma for the first time earlier this year and I felt very comfortable in the car” she said. “It responds well to what I ask of it and it’s very quick.

“This will be my first Prototype Challenge race, but I’m going into the series with high expectations and I hope to do my absolute best for my team and my fans.”

Chi said he was impressed with Zeller’s test at Road Atlanta.

“She is not only a competitive driver but also a natural ambassador for FMO Racing,” he said. “She is humble, genuine, and is a person who does not look for excuses and works hard. We are delighted that she is on the team.”
